These Terms of Use and Community Rules (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SongMargin’s iOS app, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be old enough to use the Services under the laws of your jurisdiction. If you use an account sign-in method such as Sign in with Apple, you are responsible for maintaining access to that account and for activities that occur under your use of the Services.
You may create notes, playlists, comments, profile information, and other content through the Services (“User Content”). You retain your rights in your User Content, but you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process it solely as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Services.
If you choose to publish content publicly, that content may be visible to other users and on public web pages associated with SongMargin.
You agree not to use the Services to create, upload, publish, or share content that:
We may review, restrict, remove, or disable access to content or accounts if we reasonably believe they violate these Terms, create risk for users, or expose SongMargin to legal or operational harm. We may also suspend or terminate access to all or part of the Services when necessary to protect users, the Services, or applicable law.
The Services may include public interactions such as comments, likes, favorites, follows, recommendations, or other community-facing features. Public interactions are intended to support discussion about music and notes, and must remain respectful and lawful.
The Services may include AI-assisted features for writing, summarizing, or recommending music-related content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate and is provided for informational and creative assistance only. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before publishing or relying on it.
Some features depend on Apple Music or other third-party services. Your use of those services is also subject to the applicable third-party terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.
If you purchase a subscription in the app, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling are subject to Apple’s App Store rules and your App Store account settings. Subscription details presented in the app and in App Store Connect form part of the applicable purchase terms.
The Services, excluding User Content, are owned by SongMargin or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, or create derivative works from the Services except as permitted by law.
Your use of the Services is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share information.
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SongMargin and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the Services.
We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice within the app, on the website, or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
